The Defence Attaché Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia to Laos hosts a reception to mark the 77th Indonesian Armed Forces Day. The event was attended by the Chief of the General Logistics Department of Laos’ Ministry of National Defence, Major General Khamphet Sixanon, as the Guest of Honour, and the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Laos, Dr Pratito Soeharyo, together with senior officials from Laos’ Ministry of National Defence and Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Asean member country ambassadors in Laos. Since 1970, Indonesia and Laos have built mutual trust and respect and stepped up cooperation, including in the defence sector. Indonesian Armed Forces Day is celebrated on October 5 every year.
